Access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene is essential for healthy communities, and AMARD’s WASH program addresses these crucial needs. The program constructs and rehabilitates water wells and sanitation facilities, promotes hygiene education, and develops community-led water management systems. This ensures that internally displaced persons (IDPs), minority groups, and host communities experience reduced risk of waterborne diseases and improved overall health.

WASH also includes targeted school programs that improve hygiene practices among children and support gender-appropriate sanitation facilities. By empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to sustain safe water sources, AMARD promotes long-term behavior change that contributes to enhanced public health resilience.
