The Agency for Minority Rights and Development (AMARD) is an independent, non-political, non-profit humanitarian and development organization dedicated to improving the lives of minority, marginalized, and vulnerable groups across the Horn of Africa and beyond.
AMARD’s programs include
• Protection – (Gender Based Violence (GBV), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Child protection). • Food security and livelihoods. • Health and Nutrition. • Water, Hygiene and sanitation (WASH). • Camp coordination and camp management (CCCM) • Income generation activities through women empowerment. • Environmental conservation. • Education both formal and non-formal. • Peace building and Conflict Resolution. • Youth Programs. • Peace, political stability and security • HIV /AIDs awareness.

Our Mission
AMARD is an independent organization dedicated to improve the lives and welfare of the minority groups, not exclusively living in Somalia, but the entire Horn of Africa irrespective of race, ethnicity, religion, political ideology and or age groups.
Address emergency humanitarian needs to reduce preventable mortality and morbidity.
Safeguard children’s rights and expand access to quality education, including early childhood development (ECD).
Prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV).
